MAR 2011

Steve Mackay passed an epic winter, rocking the far reaches of the globe.  He circled Europe with Koonda Holaa, before parting for Australia where the Stooges played "Big Day Out".
Now, Mackay prepares to unveil a series of releases featuring his finest work to date. "Sometimes Like This I Talk" is the masterwork of Mackay's career. His composed songs, played by a massive group of musicians from many lands, who represent the bulk of his musical collaborators for the past decades.

A 7" with the lead single features vocals by a singer few will have trouble to recognize.

Mackay is also one of the key players on the second installment of United Scum Soundclash, entitled, "U.S.S. : Machine Gun"

Rounding out this deluge is the long awaited US release of Steve Mackay/Mike Watt/Estel's work, "Vol 1".
His long time conspirators in the Radon Collective have formed a new company to back this undertaking.

At www.polyglotagency.org you can find extensive details on all releases, ordering info and audio samples.

OCT 2010
Mackay's main gig has showed no signs of slowing.    After years of denial Iggy and The Stooges were finally inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. That surely puts Steve amongst the most subversive musicians in the hall. They continue to play extensively in Europe, did a set at the acclaimed All Tomorrow's Party fest and have Big Day Out in Australia still to come. A new organization, largely comprised of long time contributors to the Radon Collective, has been formed and is now representing Mr. Mackay.  Polyglot Agency is preparing to unveil "Projekt Polyglot" a new series with 4 releases featuring Mackay.  His 3rd solo album "Sometimes Like This I Talk" is his milestone record.  It features more than 30 collaborators from 5 countries performing composed songs by Mackay.  The lead off single will also be available as a 7".  "The Prisoner", backed with a track from United Scum Soundclash also including Mackay, is an astounding track with a backing band that brings some of his Stooges pals along for the Ride.   "Machine Gun" is the 2nd cd by United Scum that includes Mackay.  For the first time in the US, Mackay's colab album with Irish group Estel and Mike Watt will be made available.  Press releases and ordering information for each of these records can be found at www.polyglotagency.org  In November and December, Steve Mackay and Koonda Holaa will embark on a European tour.  More details to follow.  For booking inquiries contact koondaholaa@hotmail.com  Check the live section for press info.
