Makmed the Miller
14 Smash Hits for Theremin

FFMO 01

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! URCK FAVORITE!

Another absolutely astonishing piece from the Forgotten Fish Memory Orchestra guys out of the Netherlands.  These ingenious artists have really been a great source of hope for us in these strange times.  Their music and art is potently transformative and nothing less than mesmerizing.

This album, from the group's Makmed the Miller, is no exception.  14 Smash Hits for Theremin is just what the title explains; However its not your run of the mill classical Theremin shtick.  Makmed blends all the styles and sounds that we've come to love him for.  The album opens with a haunting cover of Over the Rainbow and then transforms from ancient Chinese melodies on Pipa to a massive dub rub out that would stand the hair up on Prince Far I's neck, then he melts into a trippy Lynch-ian twin peak-ian movement bathed in the deep golden voice of God...the album travels over the middle-east threshold twisting through some gorgeous saz stylings and back and forth through this unchartered realm .....and all with a bit or more of Theremin in every piece...... We haven't been this happy in a long time.

We got our hands on 20 copies and I guaranty they are the only 20 copies for sale in the U.S.  This is our undergrounD!
